The Way in the Wilderness

Isaiah 43:18-19 (ESV) Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness.

1. Bigger

Joshua 1:16 (ESV) All that you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go.

2. Better

John 10:10 (ESV) I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

1 Peter 5:10 (ESV) after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

3. Blessed

Numbers 23:20-21 (ESV) Behold, I received a command to bless: he has blessed, and I cannot revoke it. 21 He has not beheld misfortune in Jacob, nor has he seen trouble in Israel. The Lord their God is with them, and the shout of a king is among them.

Deuteronomy 28:2,6, 8 (ESV) And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you … Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out … 8 The Lord will command the blessing on you in your barns and in all that you undertake. And he will bless you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

Numbers 6:23-26 (NIV) ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them: 24 “ ‘ “The Lord bless you and keep you; 25 the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; 26 the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” ’
