multiply - fear
October 24, 2021 | Matt Ware
Each one of us is called to not just BE followers of Christ but to actively DO something in order to Multiply God’s Kingdom. This series dives into the practical by exploring how you can get off the sidelines and discover why you’re here, what you’re gifted in, how to steward those gifts and how to be faithful to Multiply. In the end, your effectiveness in the Kingdom is up to you.
1 Timothy 4:14 (ESV) Do not neglect the gift you have
Matthew 25:25 (NLT) I was afraid I would lose your money, so I hid it in the earth. Look, here is your money back.
1. Fear of the PAST
Philippians 3:13-14 (ESV) forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
2. Fear of the PEOPLE
Galatians 1:10 (ESV) For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Nehemiah 6:9 (ESV) For they all wanted to frighten us, thinking, “Their hands will drop from the work, and it will not be done.”
3. Fear of the PAIN
1 Samuel 14:6 (ESV) Jonathan said to the young man who carried his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. It may be that the Lord will work for us, for nothing can hinder the Lord from saving by many or by few.”
Matthew 25:27 (NLT) why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank? At least I could have gotten some interest on it.
2 Timothy 1:6-7 (NLT) I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear.
